Unexpectedly but peacefully passed away at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 11th May, aged 84 years. Loving Husband to the late Ann, devoted Dad of Steven, Tony and Cheryl and a much-loved Father-in-Law to Belinda and Malcolm. Also, a cherished Gramp of Leah, William, Kurt, Lee and Lacey and Great-Gramp of Ella, Oscar, Clover and Mabel. Roy will be greatly and sadly missed by all his family and friends.

The funeral service took place at Church of The Holy Jesus, Lydbrook at 1:30pm on Friday 16^th June 2023 with Rev Clare Edwards officiating. On entry “Barcelona” by Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Cabelle was played. After a tribute from John Evans “Hotel California” by The Eagles was played for family and friends to reflect on their own personal memories.  

During the service the hymns All Things Bright & Beautiful and Morning Has Broken was accompanied by organist David Phillips.

On exit from the church “Sweet Caroline” was played by Neil Diamond. Which was assisted with a round of applause from the guard of honour as Roy left the church.

Following the Church service, a committal took place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium.
